academic Dr. Lavdev Awasthi warned that the country will end if there is a drought of knowledge and said that universities should cultivate knowledge that suits the local soil. He said that the knowledge produced by the university should be useful for the society.
Speaking at the session titled 'The power of collaboration in higher education', he said, 'The development of the country is not possible until the government, the community and the private sector create an environment that produces knowledge.' He said that only after the consumption of the knowledge produced by him, the university can be operated sustainably and the development of the society can also accelerate.
Sudurpaschim University Vice Chancellor Prada Hemraj Pant said that universities should get out of the classroom. Speaking at the session 'Integrity in Higher Education and Development of Academic Culture', he expressed concern that academic research is becoming money oriented. Knowledge gained from research is an asset in itself. If I don't have the knowledge that I have produced, my next generation will use it. It is necessary to develop the thinking that if not today, it will be useful tomorrow.' Pant said that researchers should look for innovation through micro-research of the activities taking place in nature and society.
Speaking in the next session titled 'Cooperation in Empowerment of Government and Educational Institutions', Chetraj Bajal, Mayor of Jaya Prithvi Municipality stated that there is a need for new technology, knowledge and awareness at the local level and emphasized that there should be collaboration between the local government and the university in its production. "It is necessary for the university to search for and modernize original knowledge, research and its implementation through the government to develop culture," he said, "There has been a delay in building an environment where the university will meet the government's need for knowledge and the government will support academic research."
Chairman of Mashta rural municipality Gyan Bahadur Bohra said that without the cooperation of educational institutions and the government, development cannot meet the needs of the modern era and is ready for cooperation.
