One person has died due to stones falling from above in Naugad rural municipality-6 Dhuligada. It is reported that Kalu Joshi, 70 years old, died on the spot after being hit by a stone on Wednesday morning.
According to the District Police Office, Joshi died on the spot when he was hit by a stone falling from above in Ratpade at 7 am. Police Inspector Chhatra Bahadur Rawat said that 45-year-old Pratap Dhami of Naugad rural municipality-6 Dhuligada who was with him was injured. Dhami was rescued and sent to Gokuleshwar Hospital for treatment.
Police said that a police team under the command of a police inspector from the area police office Gokuleswar went to that area to further investigate the incident.
Similarly, due to the incessant rain on Tuesday night, the road was blocked due to a landslide in Malbela under the Khalanga-Dallek road section. Vehicles going to different places of Naugad Rural Municipality from Khalanga have not been able to ply due to road blockage. The police said that they are trying to open the blocked road.
