The Bajhang district convention of the United Samajwadi held on Tuesday elected a new district committee under the chairmanship of Akkal Dhami. The session which started on 10th of May in Jhota of Kedarsyun Rural Municipality was completed by electing a new leadership. The president of the United Samajwadi Party, Dhami Chhabispathivera, is the former chairman of the rural municipality.

The convention elected Ganesh Bohra, chairman of Kedarsyun Rural Municipality, as the vice president, while Bhakta Bhandari was elected as the other vice president. Before the party split, Bhandari was the president of Bajhang Youth Union of UML. 

In the same convention, outgoing president Indra Bhandari informed that Lakshmi Joshi was elected as district committee secretary, Jog Kathayat and Haris Khadka as deputy secretaries and Radhika Chitrakar as women's deputy secretary.  In the

convention, the Central Vice President of United Socialists Bhanubhakt Joshi, General Secretary Dhanshyam Bhusal, former Chief Minister of Far West Province Dirgh Sodari and other leaders reached Bajhang.
