Police have seized illegal bidis from Dasharath Chand Municipality-6 Sera of Baitadi. According to the police, an illegal bidi was recovered from the banks of the Mahakali river on the Nepal-India border, which had evaded customs.
According to the District Police Office, 10 boxes of bidi worth 282,000 have been seized from Sera. Spokesman and Police Inspector Baldev Badu of District Police Office Baitadi said that the police team deployed from Sera police station recovered the bidi on Sunday morning and afternoon.
According to spokesperson Badu, the police team recovered 4 boxes worth 100,000 rupees at 1 am and 6 boxes worth 172 thousand rupees at 3 pm.
The police suspect that the bead may have been illegally imported from India. Police Inspector Badu has informed that the confiscated bidi will be sent to Mahakali Customs Office Jhulaghat for necessary action.
