Maoist Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the party was brought to power by the common people.

Under the 'Maoist with Janata, Madhyapahari Lokmarg Janata Jagran Abhiyan' which started yesterday  Addressing the public meeting held at Doti today, Chairman Dahal said that no other party has brought Maoists to power.

'It is not the Congress, it is not the UML that can lead us to a comprehensive peace agreement, it is not the UML,' he said, 'You have been carried by the poor, workers, farmers, oppressed class communities like us.' He said that in 8/10 years, it was not possible to go among the people and listen to the problems from the mouth of the people.

President Dahal said that they came to the people out of self-criticism and listened to the people's concerns and made it nationwide.
