All the 88 local level employees of the Far West have embarked on a protest centered on Dhangadhi. The demonstration was organized by the Employees Provincial Sangharsh Samiti demanding the release of the Local Service Act as soon as possible.

Starting the movement from the park mode of Dhangadhi, the employees went in front of the Chief Minister's office and sat on dharna. They complain that the provincial government has repeatedly requested to address their demands but has been ignored. This time, if the demand is not addressed, he has also warned that no employee will appear at the local level office.

Padam Bista working in the education branch of Doti's Adarsh Rural Municipality said that while other provinces have made and implemented the Local Service Act, Sudurpaschim has not been able to issue the Act. He said that if the law is not made, there is a problem in employee's transfer, promotion and other professional development.

Despite the demand for the release of the law since 2080, Veer Bahadur Khadka, an employee of Dedaldhura's Bhageshwar rural municipality, said that he had to go on a protest because of the lack of timely response. If the government does not issue the law as soon as possible, the employees say that they will prolong the agitation by locking all the local levels.
