Theoretically based on the flow of wind, the process has progressed in many places of Nepal, studying the possibility of generating electricity from the wind by placing plants in Chure area, hilly Bhanjyang and Himalayan areas in Nepal. According to this, in the financial year 2072/073, in Kamalbazar of Acham, the project of generating electricity from the wind started at a cost of 20 crores with the help of alternative energy promotion center, Kamalbazar municipality and local people. A total of 30 kilowatts of electricity was generated from 15 kilowatts of wind and 15 kilowatts of solar power. Krishna Grill Biratnagar who took over the
construction work and Tebsun JV Company successfully tested it in December 2073 . The project has been done with the joint investment of the Alternative Energy Promotion Center and the municipality. This is the property of the municipality. He said that discussions are being held on the matter of turning on electricity to government agencies including health institutions within the municipality by restarting electricity from the air. According to him, at that time, trained manpower was also prepared to operate the electricity.
Yagya Prasad Dhakal, Mayor of the city, said that since electricity had been blown from the wind in Kamalbazar before the election of the people's representative at the local level, the technical aspects, investment and coordination were not paid attention to.
