The number of Krishnasaras, which were relocated to Hirapur Fanta of Shuklaphanta National Park a decade ago, is increasing daily. In a period of 10 years, the number of Krishnasara here has exceeded 300. Because of this, the challenge in management is increasing.

Krishnasar has been fenced off in the Hirapur branch of the park. A wire fence has been installed in an area of about 60 square kilometers. In the same area, feeding is also done from grazing. Purushottam Wagle, conservation officer of the park, said, "Now, it is being studied whether to transfer it openly to other grasslands in the park or to transfer it somewhere else." According to him, the Department of Parks and Wildlife Conservation is discussing and studying various options.

In 2012 and 2015, 42 Krishnasara were transferred to Shuklaphanta from Khairapur in Bardia and Sadar Zoo in Nepalganj. Currently, the number has increased to 306. According to the park office, there are 144 females, 117 males and 45 males.

A few years after the transfer, due to lice and roosters started to die from fighting among themselves . Due to which the growth was very low . But now the number is increasing daily. Which has excited the conservation workers and also added management challenge . "Some numbers can be left in the natural habitat, we are also discussing about this," Conservation Officer Wagle said, "After some decision from the department, further study will be done." For which the infrastructure has been built.

Wagle said that a small number of Krishnasaras, which are now in the enclosure, can be released in their natural habitat in different grasslands of the park. According to him, it seems that it can be managed by loosening the fence and making it possible to come in and out. Although various options are being discussed, no decision has been made yet. In the five-year plan of the park and the intermediate area, the management of Krishnasar is included.

'Different options are being discussed, but it has not been decided to manage it in this way,' said Bedkumar Dhakal, director general of the National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Department, 'currently, due to lack of financial resources, it is not possible to study and relocate.'
