Isra Bohra, a resident of Bogtan Fudsil Rural Municipality-5, Dhirkamandou, said that after 23 years, getting a disability ID card has added happiness throughout her life. On Wednesday, the team led by Vishna Deuba Bam, the vice president of the rural municipality, went to Bohra's house and distributed 'A' class disability identity cards.
Vice President Bam said that after searching for the disabled, helpless and those who are deprived of services within the local government, they provided services such as distribution of disability identity cards.
Isar's father Bir Bahadur Bohra said that he was very happy to get information about his daughter's health condition as well as to get a disability certificate. He also thanked the local government and others for helping him by making an identity card for his disabled daughter for a long time. After receiving the identity card, Isra said, 'There is no one in my family who earns. It is often difficult to remove the stain. Now the allowance will come, it will be very easy for our family.'
Similarly, identity cards have been distributed in Ward 4 of the same rural municipality. Ammi Nepali there also received a disability certificate at the age of 30. He has been paralyzed on the left side of his body for five years.
It has been 38 years since Yogendra Bahadur Luhar underwent spine surgery but it was not successful and he became disabled. Bhakteluhar Kami is now 47 years old. He had paralysis on his right side for 4 years . He also got a disability ID card.
Similarly, 50-year-old Sher Bahadur Kunwar of the same ward also received 'B' class disability certificate. 6-year-old Jharna Vic can't hear. Vice President Vishna Bam also informed her that she went to her home and distributed the disability certificate.
In order to ensure fair and effective distribution of services, opportunities and rights for people with disabilities, the government of Nepal arranged for disability identification cards for people with disabilities in the year 2065. All persons with disabilities of any age are required to obtain an identity card from the Women's Development Office of their district.
