The price of seasonal (junar) which is produced well in Amargadhi, Ganyapadhura and Bhageswar areas has increased by five times compared to the season. A good price is obtained when it comes to the market during the seasonal production period from October to November.

Farmers have brought the fruits that they kept on the trees to the market at this time. As the fruits that are naturally kept on the tree have a sweet taste and do not rot quickly, the products here fetch a good price.

The season, which is usually available from October to February, has reached 200 rupees per kg in the local market. In October-October, the season when picking starts, it is usually sold at 20 to 30 rupees per kilo. At present, farmers are getting 150 rupees per bari. In the past, the weather that was hardly available until March, this time it is easily available until Baisakh.

Govind Bhatt, Horticulture Development Officer of Krishi Gyan Kendra Dadeldhura, said that he emphasized on garden management to increase seasonal production. He said that programs such as garden improvement, fertilizer management, irrigation and pruning are being conducted. "This year's production has lasted until now because the farmers have been taking care of them since they flowered," he said.

The seasonal Dadeldhura produced here is exported to Kailali and Kanchanpur. Laxmikant Ojha, a farmer of Ganyapadhura, said that good income can be obtained by using fertilizer and irrigation facilities, pruning and taking care of plants. He said that if the government supports agricultural technology, more production can be done. If technology is used in production and storage system is arranged, there is no market problem. The price is also good," he said.

Krishi Gyan Kendra has informed that there is commercial cultivation of orange fruits in an area of 510 hectares in Dadeldhura. According to the knowledge center, 350 metric tons of orange fruits are produced annually in the district.

Ramsingh Bohra, information officer of Knowledge Center, said that if farmers are provided with modern technology and organic fertilizers, disease control measures and easy access to the market, production can be increased. He said, "There is no humidity center for fruits anywhere in Dadeldhura,  Farmers kept the fruits on the trees and brought them to the market now. This is a very good thing.'  The farmers get good prices because they are sent from Dadeldhura to Dhangadhi, Mahendranagar and Kathmandu.

Mahendra Bahadur Saund, Head of Agriculture Branch of Bhageshwar Rural Municipality, said that technical and other support is being provided to the farmers for the expansion of farming under orange and seasonal farming care program. "We have reached the agricultural technical farms in every ward, technical assistance is provided whenever the farmers want it. Now we are planning to support technology," he said.
