The accused woman who absconded from the district attorney's office in Kailali with handcuffs while she was in police custody on Sunday, was arrested by the police from India on Monday morning.
50-year-old Meena Shahi Damai, who was living in Tikapur municipality-1 Ganeshpur camp, had absconded. District Police Office Kailali said that he was arrested from Palia bordering India.
According to Kailali police chief SP Padam Bahadur Bista, he was arrested from Palia on Monday morning and is about to be brought to Dhangadhi. The police arrested him on May 4th at Tikapur police office in Ela in a case of human trafficking.
Tikapur brought it to the public prosecutor's office on Sunday for an extension. During that time, she escaped with handcuffs. Kailali District Police Office has suspended two policemen for their weakness in the
incident.
Kailali Police Chief SP Bista said, "On the recommendation of ELA Police Office Tikapur, Assistant Constable Chakra Adhikari and Police Constable Lokraj Joshi have been suspended." Meena is accused of trafficking a girl who is related to India.
