The health branch of Navdurga Rural Municipality of Dadeldhura has suffered a lot of damage due to fire. Dadeldhura police inspector Dumbar Bisht informed that the fire spread from the local Durga Bhawani community forest area and damaged the health branch around 3.30 pm on Saturday.
According to him, the fire reached the health department due to the wind.
It is said that the structure of the health wing and the materials inside have been damaged due to the fire. However, police inspector Bista said that the details of the damage have not been received yet. The fire was extinguished with the help of local residents, police and municipality. Fire control was a challenge due to lack of fire brigade in the village.
Due to the fire, other nearby areas are also at risk. The local administration has asked the general public to exercise caution to reduce the risk of fire and prevent possible further damage.
