Krishna Bahadur Shah, the outgoing ward president of Ghodaghodi municipality-9 of Kailali, has died.
Shah, who left home at 9:30 am on Thursday, was found in a serious condition near Simli river at around 1 pm. He was found by the team of the area police office, Sukhad, along with an empty container of Sulphas pesticide and a diary. Based on the information given by the locals, the police team went towards the forest.
The chief police inspector of the area police office Sukhad said that Shah was found in a serious condition and was immediately rescued and taken to Ghodaghodi hospital. Doctors declared him brought dead at the hospital. Shah's body has now been brought to Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi for post-mortem.
In the suicide note written in the diary found with Shah, he expressed his feelings while addressing the family members. In the suicide note, he has also expressed his deep pain towards politics. In the suicide note, he asked his brother not to join politics, sources said. The police said that they are conducting further investigation regarding the suicide note, which also mentions the signature and date.
In the local elections of 2074, Shah won ward number 9 from CPN (UML) and was currently the vice president of CPN UML Ghodaghodi Nagar Committee.
