The police have seized the materials illegally brought from India by evading customs from various places in Kailali district.
The police patrol team deployed from District Police Office Kailali and subordinate police offices found the illegally brought materials during patrolling in Dhangadhi sub-metropolis-1 Chitranagar, 9 Trivenighat and 18 F villages.
According to the police, onion, tobacco, amrit khatta, porcha fish, ladies suit and other goods worth about 1 lakh 52 thousand 780 rupees were found in an abandoned condition.
The police said that all the materials have been taken under control and the necessary investigation process has been started.
The police have said that regular surveillance and patrols have been intensified to prevent illegal transactions involving customs evasion in the border area.
