Mourning leave was given on Tuesday in Malikarjun Rural Municipality for the death of Senior Ahev Dinesh Prasad Joshi. Joshi, a health worker working at the Uku health center in Malikarjun Rural Municipality-6, died during treatment on Monday.
Joshi, who fell unconscious at the health post at 11 am on Monday, was taken to District Hospital Darchula for treatment. Lokendrasingh Dhami, Acting Chief Administrative Officer of Malikarjun Rural Municipality, said that Malikarjun passed away at Pasti Basic Hospital while being taken to Dhangadhi for further treatment after treatment was not possible at the district hospital.
Joshi's health condition became more complicated when Pasti reached Dhangadhi, Pasti was taken to the basic hospital and the doctor declared him dead, said acting Chief Administrative Officer Dhami.
Offices except for essential services within Malikarjun Rural Municipality will remain closed on Tuesday. Joshi's family, whose ancestral home is Makanna in Lekam rural municipality-3 of the district, is currently living in Kanchanpur.
