A tractor carrying Indian pilgrims has met with an accident in Kailali. Kailali district police office said that one person died and 27 people were injured in the accident.
Pilgrims who were returning from Lakhimpur Khiri Singha to the famous religious site Behdaba Mandir in Kailali, Saturday, the tractor they were riding in met with an accident in Kailari rural municipality-5 Manikapur. Police Inspector Meghraj Joshi of the District Police Office said that 11-year-old Ayush Barma of Lakhimpur Khiri, India died in the accident.
The doctor declared the child dead when he was taken to Seti Provincial Hospital in an injured state. According to the police, 27 other people were injured in the accident. Among them, 12 are being treated at Seti Provincial Hospital and 15 are being treated at Nisarga Hospital in Dhangadhi. The condition of three of the injured is said to be serious.
The police say that the cause of the accident is being investigated.
