The bridge that is being built over the rainy river to connect Dhakari Rural Municipality of Achham with the road network with the headquarter has fallen into disrepair. Even though there is a regular bus service to Dhakari, the center of the rural municipality, during the rainy season, the traffic is interrupted due to the increase in the flow of water in the river.

Chakra Jaishi of Dhakari rural municipality-8 said that after starting the work a year ago, one side pillar was put in and after that no workers were seen at the construction site.

This is also the road that takes the bus to the center of the municipality. Now the bridge has also started to be built, it was supposed that the vehicles would not be stopped in the rain, but now the work of the bridge has stopped,'' he said, 'there is no other option to connect to Sadarmukam.' If the only road is impassable in the rain, it is difficult to take the patient to the hospital . Food cannot be transported . Common people will be affected by the high cost.

Prakash Saud, chairman of Dhakari rural municipality, said that he is asking the infrastructure development office after the bridge work has not progressed. "The work of the bridge is at a standstill, people express their anger to the local level as to why it has not been completed yet." The local level cannot move ahead with the plan to build the bridge . That it is not a local level plan  Can't even keep quiet. The problem has happened to us," he said.

When the Infrastructure Development Office Sanfebugar was asked why the bridge work was not done a week ago, Chairman Saud said that the reply was that the work was stopped due to the lack of budget from the federal government. You can't stop working because you don't have a budget. If there is no budget, transfer it to the local level, we will build it from the municipality, we have written another letter to the Infrastructure Development Office saying that this is a very necessary road,'' he said. If there is no budget and the bridge will not be built, we will build it anyway.

Jang Bahadur Thapa, head of infrastructure development office Sanfebagar, said that the contract costing 40 million was awarded in 2079/80 and the contract date expired last October. According to him, work worth one crore was done before this and the payment has already been made. He said that since it is a project through the federal conditional grant of the Union Government, the necessary budget has been requested for the completion of the project, but it has not yet been confirmed that the budget will come.

'In the current year, only 40 million budget has been received for the bridge to be built on the rainy river. The required budget is 3 crores,' he said, 'When we ask the builders why they have not done the work, they say that we will complete all the bridge work by the end of June, they say to make sure that the amount will be paid.
