Jeet Bahadur of Kailali's Godavari Municipality-8 Jamunabhagi had already hoped that his 37-year-old daughter Aruna Chaudhary, who is totally disabled, would become a citizen. Because Aruna cannot speak, sit up or walk. Parents have to pick him up and take him inside and outside.

Chief District Officer (PRA) Gogan Bahadur Hamal of District Administration Office Kailali along with Branch Officers Shivraj Joshi and Tej Bahadur Parki reached the house on Tuesday morning and gave the citizenship certificate to Aruna.

When the officers with Prazia Hamal placed the citizenship in Aruna's hands, she cried out loud as if she was crying. Her mother Chhotkania, who was nearby, said, 'If she is happy, she will do this .' Jeet Bahadur said that they were very happy that the Chief District Officer's team came to the house to give citizenship.

Aruna's parents had no way to make her a citizen. They were unable to pick up their daughter and take her to the district administration office.

A few days ago, Jeet Bahadur went to the district administration office to get a copy of his citizenship. At the same time, he told the administration officials about his daughter's problem. After that, the administration team reached home and decided to give citizenship to Aruna.

'If our additional initiatives will provide relief to the citizens and their families who are in trouble, why don't we take the lead ourselves?' Chief District Officer Hamal said, 'We are here to serve the citizens. In the legal context, if services can be provided at the doorsteps of citizens, it should be facilitated.'

Godavari Municipality-8 Ward President Gobind Chaudhary expressed his happiness that the administration's team reached the disabled and handicapped citizens and gave them citizenship.

Aruna fell ill at the age of five months and became completely disabled. Aruna is forced to lie on a cot day and night, and her parents have to pick her up and take her inside and outside. According to father Jeet Bahadur, Aruna became completely disabled when she was five/six months old after suddenly falling ill. All care is done by parents.

'She cries when she is hungry, even if she needs to say something, she cries in bed,' said mother Chotkania, 'we understand what she is trying to say.'

Among the four daughters of Jeet Bahadur, who is a farmer, Aruna Miley is the daughter. His three sons are involved in their own businesses.
