In the far west, the festivities of Hori festival have started in the Rana Tharu communities of Kailali and Kanchanpur districts of the Terai. Life is going on in the Rana Tharu community at the moment.

In Zinda Hori, it is customary for them to enjoy the Hori dance collectively at the dhol lake at night. This community celebrates Holi festival for one month and eight days.

Until the burning of the Holika of the Hori festival, the old and young people of the Rana Tharu community dance together and enjoy the Hori dance at night.
