After 16 years of reconstruction, Acham Palace was inaugurated on Monday morning. On February 4, 2058, the Achham Palace, which houses the government office in the district, was destroyed in the attack of the then rebel Maoists.

Prakashman Singh, Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister of the Federal Government inaugurated the event. According to him, the palace is built on 320 square meters and the total area of ​​the palace area is 960 square meters. ``For the structure and protection of the palace premises, a budget of 2 crores has been allocated and a tender has been called for the budget from the office under the ministry in the current year,'' he said.

Darbar used to house district administration office, district panchayat, malpot, district court, but at the time of the attack, only the district administration office was there. Chief District Officer Mohansingh Khatri was also killed in the attack. In the incident, 122 people including 53 soldiers, 59 policemen, 2 civil servants and 8 civilians lost their lives.
