25 sheep died after being buried in an avalanche in Saipal Rural Municipality. According to the District Police Office, 22 sheep have gone missing in the avalanche.

The sheep of Jaipal Rokaya of Saipal Rural Municipality-4 Dhuli were caught in an avalanche. Jaipal's relative Double Rokaya said that the avalanche occurred while returning home from the Gudupal community forest at the foot of the Gudupal mountain.

After bringing 125 sheep, Jayapal and his two sons reached a place called Ramranti, he said that an avalanche fell from Baramdanda.

'People saw that the landslide was coming and ran away to save their lives,' he said, 'Sheep walking on the road were killed. He informed that the incident took place on Saturday afternoon, but as there was no telephone contact at the scene, the news came through people only on Sunday evening. 

The district police office has informed that after the news of the sheep falling in the avalanche, the police was mobilized from the border police station Dhuli on Sunday to rescue them. According to Police Chief DSP Yuvraj Bhandari, the police and locals are still searching for the sheep buried in the landslide on Monday.
