The Darchula-Gokuleswar road section, blocked by continuous winter rains, has become operational after 24 hours. The district administration office said that after the landslide cleared the road that had been blocked since Friday morning, the district administration office started operations from Saturday morning.

After a month, the road was again blocked due to a landslide in Thanyakatha Bhir located in Mahakali Municipality-5 Kimtadi. Chief District Officer Yagya Raj Joshi said that the road was opened in the morning after construction workers cleaned the road using excavators. Passengers and vehicles stopped due to road blockage are heading towards their destination from morning.

A month ago, during the widening of the road in that area, the road was completely blocked for a week due to a landslide. Locals have said that small stones did not stop falling from the top after it rained in a dry landslide.
