An employee working in Malikarjun Rural Municipality has died due to a vehicle collision in India. Malikarjun Rural Municipality-5 Malikarjun Rural Municipality informed that Jagdish Awasthi, who was working as the Head of Enterprise Development Branch of Dandakot Rural Municipality, died in an accident on Sunday.
According to Nar Bahadur Thagunna, chief administrative officer of Malikarjun Rural Municipality, Awasthi, who was going to participate in the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, India, was hit by a vehicle and died in Lucknow.
He was seriously injured when he was hit by another vehicle on the road when he got out of the vehicle he was riding in. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. But the doctor declared him dead at the hospital.
After the death of Awasthi, the head of the enterprise development branch of the rural municipality, Thagunna, the chief administrative officer, informed that a mourning leave was given in the rural municipality on Monday.
