District K.I. A house was completely destroyed in a fire in Singh Rural Municipality-3, Jhiga Basti on Sunday morning. Police said that a two-storied stone-mud house of a local Baji Bhul was gutted when a fire suddenly broke out while cooking at 9:30 am.

Due to the fire, 10 sacks of rice, clothes, wood, utensils, furniture and other materials inside the house were completely burnt. Although there was no human or animal damage from the fire, it is estimated that the damage was worth around 250,000 rupees.

A team of 6 people was deployed at the scene under the command of police inspector Kulveer Bohra. The fire was extinguished with the help of locals and the police. Currently, the family of the victim Baji Bhul is living in a neighbor's house. 

The scene of the incident is about 9 km north of the police station Byal. The local administration is preparing to provide relief to the victim's family.
