A 14-year-old girl from Bajura studying at the basic level in a school in Dhangadhi was raped. According to District Police Office Kailali, an 18-year-old youth raped the girl on Thursday after showing fear.

While returning from school in the evening, the young man pointed a knife at her and raped her in her house, the police said. The incident happened three days ago on Thursday evening. Further investigation is being done on this, Kailali District Police Office Spokesperson Kavindrasingh Bohra said,  The accused youth is absconding. We are looking for him.'

Spokesman Bohra said that the police started investigating the incident after the girl herself filed a complaint against the young man on Saturday.
