One person has died due to a landslide in Mellekh Rural Municipality-5 Kaulena. 63-year-old Nar Bahadur Khadka died on the spot due to a sudden landslide while extracting stones in Kaulena, Achham police chief DSP Iswari Prasad Bhandari said.
48-year-old Bhim Bahadur Khadka, who was working at the scene, was seriously injured due to injuries on his waist and back. Bhandari said that he was taken to Bayalpata Hospital for further treatment.
He said that while 4 people went there to remove the stones from the house, the other two managed to escape. He said that the police have reached the incident site, which is 4 kilometers east of the center of Mellekh rural municipality, and the incident is being investigated.
