A young man has been arrested for raping an 18-year-old girl. Police arrested 24-year-old Dharmaraj Giri, resident of Chabispathivera rural municipality-1. The police said that he raped a girl who was waiting for a car in Bhandebagar Bazar in Chhabispathivera on the pretext of taking her to a motorcycle.
"The girl who came from Dhangadhi was waiting for a car in Bhandebagar on Saturday evening," said Lokendra Thakunna, Acting Chief of the District Police Office.
He said that information about the incident was received around 7:30 pm on Saturday and the accused was immediately arrested. Police said that the victim belongs to Jai Prithvi Municipality and the district court has extended the deadline for further investigation.
