A woman and a child died on the way in Bajhang. 21-year-old Savita Bohra of Kedarsyun Rural Municipality-1 Dudil and her newborn died on Monday while being taken to the hospital due to excessive bleeding.
Savita, who was pregnant, had to be taken to the hospital immediately, but the child was born on the way because health services were not available on time.
Ward president Bir Bahadur Bhandari has informed that both the mother and baby died shortly after the child was born. He said that an ambulance was sent from the village as soon as the incident was reported, but the mother and child could not be saved.
