As soon as the information about the incident was received, a team of three people led by Police Assistant Inspector Mohan Singh Dhami from Chamra Chautara police station reached the spot. The incident site is about 24 km east of the post.
Security personnel tried to control the fire but the house was completely burnt. The police said that there was no loss of human life or loss of livestock in the incident.
Local residents have speculated that the fire broke out while cooking at home. Further investigation is underway.
