The Mahakali Lokmarg, which has been blocked for 6 consecutive days, has been operational since Saturday evening. Under the Khalanga-Gokuleswar road of the Mahakali Lokmarg, the road was blocked during the widening of the road by breaking rocks at Thadyakatha Bhir in Kimtadi.

Chief District Officer Yagyaraj Joshi said that on the sixth day after cutting day and night, the road was operated so that small/big vehicles could pass in that area. Vehicles stopped at Kimtadi and Khalanga started moving from Saturday evening.

The locals were suffering because the road was blocked in Thadyakatha Bhir in Mahakali Municipality-5 Kimtadi near Darchula headquarters Khalanga. Traffic has been opened since Saturday after removing the landslide that fell during road cutting.

"The rock cutting work in the said area has not been completed," construction businessman Surendra Bam said, "the road has been reopened until the vehicles stopped here and there can pass."

Since the main highway of the district was blocked since December 15, the travelers were forced to walk on foot through the difficult traffic. As the main highway connected to the district headquarters was blocked, students, patients, senior citizens, women and children were having more problems to move.
