It has been four days since the road was blocked at Thadyakatha Bhir in Mahakali Municipality-5 Kimtadi, the main road connecting the district headquarters to Khalanga. As the landslide that fell during the road cutting on Monday morning has not been removed yet, the public has had problems in commuting.
The road has been blocked for four days due to a landslide in Thadyakatha Bhir on the Khalanga-Gokuleswar road section of the district's main Mahakali highway. Due to the fact that the landslide has not cleared till now, the local residents have been suffering due to the fact that the vehicles have been completely blocked.
After the main highway of the district was blocked, passengers were forced to walk. Dasarath Badu, a resident of Kimtadi, said that the road that was blocked since the 15th was not opened until today at the place where Kimtadi was cut to widen the road. He said that patients, senior citizens, women and children have to suffer more because the main highway is blocked. As the road did not open for four days, the cargo vehicles were stopped at Kimtadi and Khalanga.
Similarly, due to road blockage, it has become a problem for the patients admitted to the district hospital to go to Dhangadhi Mahendranagar for further treatment. Locals say that the government agencies are indifferent to the operation of the blocked road for four days. Chief District Officer of Darchula Yagya Raj Joshi has said that the blocked road is likely to be operational by this evening or tomorrow.
Some people have blocked the road in Thadya Bhir and the passengers going to Terai and Kathmandu have been forced to use the Indian road.
