A 24-year-old woman in Baitadi filed a complaint saying that she was raped. According to the police, 26-year-old Arjansingh Dhami raped the woman of Sigas Rural Municipality on the night of June 17.

The incident came to light after the woman lodged a complaint at the local police office in Patan. She is currently being kept under the protection of women's shelter home in Patan.

Balram Pandey, spokesperson of District Police Office, Baitadi informed that the investigation into the incident has been started after the complaint was filed. According to him, the accused Dhami is absconding. According to the police, the woman is 6 months pregnant after the rape.
