One person has died after eating boiler chicken meat in Achham. Three members of the same family have fallen ill.

According to DSP Ishwari Prasad Bhandari, Chief of Police of District Police Office Achham, 14-year-old son of Tulasingh Wik of Kamalbazar Municipality-3 Bayala, Kamal Wik died.

He said that he brought a dead chicken from a nearby meat shop on Friday evening and since Saturday morning all the families who had eaten the meat had health problems, so they were taken to the district hospital with the help of the police. 

Sudurpaschim Health Directorate has also taken the initiative to test other chickens, said Bhandari. From the preliminary investigation, it has been seen that the death was due to food poisoning and the illness may have been caused due to the same. All the health reports have not been received," said police chief Bhandari.

Senior Nursing Officer Ganga Budhamgar, Information Officer of District Hospital Achham, said that 70-year-old Nam Vick, sister Sita Vick, 14, and Vikas Vick, 9, are being treated at District Hospital Achham. 

'One person has died after eating dead chicken meat. "Three people are being treated at the district hospital," she said, "Grandmother and granddaughter are in serious condition." It seems that if the health condition does not improve even by tomorrow (Monday) morning, it should be referred.'
