A laborer working in furniture at Baitadi Patan has died. According to the police, 37-year-old Punaram Tharu of Kailari Rural Municipality-6, Kailali District, died after burning charcoal in his room on Saturday night.
According to District Police Office Baitadi, Tharu, who was working at Shivshakti Furniture Industry in Patan, slept in the room after burning coal at night. Tharu did not wake up until morning and was found unconscious.
Baitadi police spokesperson Balram Pandey said that Tharu was taken to Patan Primary Health Center for treatment and declared dead by the doctor. The police suspect that the death may have been due to suffocation.
As the relatives of the deceased are coming from Kailali, now Tharu's body has been kept at the health center in Patan. The police say that the post-mortem will proceed only after the relatives arrive.
