Nar Bahadur dragging his life

Nar Bahadur Bohra of Bogtan Foodsil Rural Municipality-7 Khatyadi is completely disabled. The fingers of both his hands are interlaced with gloves, while the ankles are turned in opposite directions. His daily life goes by dragging his handcart. The day he can't crawl, his routine stops there.

'From neighbors, leaders, public representatives to journalists, they come and ask for pain and suffering,' he said, 'What should we do by telling the missing pain, what is in my heart, I will be satisfied by keeping it hidden.'

Nar Bahadur's neighbor is Dev Bahadur Bam. Bam says that even though he is disabled, Nar Bahadur excels in studies. "When he was studying in 4th grade, he was a person who taught tuition to 3rd grade," Bam said. He also has the experience of teaching in Gurudev Pvt. Damauli for 4 years, Sunpali Pvt. Badikedar for one and a half years, and Khatyadi Mvt. for a few years. Gradually, the school courses were changing, various policies were being made and he had to leave the teaching profession .

52-year-old Nar Bahadur lost his father at the age of one year, mother at the age of 17. He is the youngest among 4 brothers . Has one sister . His 2 brothers passed away. Now he is living with the support of his elder brother-in-law.  Nar Bahadur dragging his life

Unmarried Nar Bahadur says that he is helping his single sister-in-law as much as he can at home. He told that he was running the ration water of his brother-in-law and niece from the social security allowance provided by the government. Sometimes he even helps in cooking when the family is having trouble. He said that he used to crawl to Khatyadi market near his house and shop.

``My mind wanders everywhere, I wish I could walk like ordinary people, I want to eat delicious food,'' Nar Bahadur said, ``That is impossible . But, the heart does not accept . My pain is inside my heart, if it stays inside my mind. Don't write too much.'

He said that he has a lot of reading habits in him. He used to crawl to school. It was not easy for him to reach school. However, he always went to school. He used to go to and from school regularly by going up and down through the holes opened by rainwater.

Reaching the school which is about one kilometer away from the house, he studied up to class 5 . "They didn't want to send me to school because I couldn't do it, I was poor," he said, "I rebelled against my family and started going to school." However, due to the school teacher, the studies were stopped.'

One day while giving the final exam of class 5, he told the teacher that he had to. When his limbs are disabled, he proposed that he should be given a helper to write the exam at the scheduled time . He said that after hearing the harsh words of the teacher that day, he never entered the school yard again.  He also told that his dream of studying in

school was stopped by the words of that teacher. "I didn't feel bad for being disabled, but the day that teacher answered, 'What do you need help for?', Bohra said in tears, 'All the pain I got in this world from that day, are within me . It started to feel that there is nothing to be done by telling someone.'

Even though the family and members of the society tried to stop him from going to school because he is physically disabled, he said that the harsh words he received from the teacher, who he considered to be like God, are still burning in his chest.
