After the news was published in Ekantipur that KI Singh Rural Municipality is going to take responsibility for teaching orphans and destitute children, support has started gathering.
13 parents and underprivileged children from different areas are studying in Saraswati Basic School located at KI Singh-4 Pilekanda. The municipality has been providing them clothes and educational materials regularly.
Sujang Hospital and Sujang School in Dipayal have distributed clothes, educational and sports materials worth Rs. Hospital administration head Arjun Balayer said that 13/13 warm clothes, caps, gloves, stationery and sports materials including 4 blankets were distributed worth 51,000 rupees.
Head of Administration Balayer has also promised to provide free treatment for 13 orphans at Sujung Hospital. 'After the news was published in Ekantipur, our attention was also drawn,' said Naresh Balayer, director of Sujang School, 'now it is necessary for everyone to join hands in their quality education.' And 13 children from Chure Rural Municipality of Kailali who have lost their parents are studying.
Similarly, Poorna Bahadur Kunwar, who works in a financial institution in Siliguri, has provided 13 pairs of tracksuits and 2 pairs of slippers to those children.
Lokendra Bahadur Shahi, president of KI Singh Rural Municipality, said that after the publication of the news, proposals for assistance are coming from various places. President Shahi said, "When handing over some materials, more than necessary and duplication is happening, we are studying what may be necessary for orderly dormitories and quality education."
The board of directors formed for the operation of the hostel will prepare a list of expected support from organizations and individuals apart from the municipality.
