A joint task force has been formed by the Chief Minister level meeting of both the provinces to demarcate the Karnali River, which is a common river of the Far West and Karnali Provinces, use, protect and manage the river resources.
Chief Minister of Far West Kamal Bahadur Shah and Lumbini Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya along with the meeting of the ministers and high-ranking employees of both provinces formed a joint task force on Wednesday to solve the problems.
Chief Secretary Kamal Prasad Pokhrel said that a task force was formed under the coordination of the Secretary of Lumbini Province at a meeting held on Wednesday in Geruwa Rural Municipality-1 Okharia, which is located in the coastal area of Karnali River.
'Karnali river is a common river of both provinces.
