The Trinagar of Kailali, where the Nepal-India international border is located, has been closed for the whole day on Tuesday. By-elections are being held on Tuesday in Palia, Lakhimpur Khiri, India, which has a border with Kailali.

Shivraj Joshi, Information Officer of Kailali District Administration Office said that the Trinagar border crossing was closed due to the same by-election. 

The Trinagar border crossing has been closed since 6 am on Tuesday. According to the administration, it will open at 6 pm.
