One person died on the spot and four others were injured when a jeep coming from Kolti in Bajura to Sadurmukam Martadi met with an accident near Martadi on Sunday afternoon.

The accident took place on the way to Api Hotel, which is near Martadi, with the jeep numbered Suppr 01001 Ch 4316. According to the Bajura police, 31-year-old Gayatri Pant, a resident of Kanchanpur, died in the accident. The jeep fell about one hundred meters from the road. 

Ramesh Dhami, 25, of Gaumool Rural Municipality of Bajura, Lokendra Pant, 39, of Bhimdatta Municipality-17 of Kanchanpur, Radhika Bhatt, 52, of Bhimdatta Municipality-18 and Mohandev Bhatt of Gulria, Kanchanpur, were involved in the accident. The injured are being treated at District Hospital Bajura. 

Similarly, Bajura police chief Dilip Kumar Giri has said that a jeep with the number C 2 C 6304, which was going to connect to the Everest Internet network, had an accident on Sunday afternoon in Himali rural municipality-6 Dhim of Bajura. 

Seven people were injured in the accident. Giri said that the jeep carrying 13 passengers went out of control and the accident occurred. Giri says that the injured have been brought to Kolti Primary Health Center for treatment and their identity is yet to be revealed.
