Eight people, including the driver, were injured when an electric lift accident occurred at Gularia in Krishnapur Municipality of Kanchanpur under the East-West Highway.

According to the police, 4 of the injured were referred to the primary health center in Gulria and four were referred to Nisarga Hospital in Dhangadhi, Kailali for further treatment. 

Sudurpaschim Pradesh No. 002 B 1425 speeding from Mahendranagar towards Dhangadhi and the accident happened due to uncontrolled accident, said DSP Umesh Joshi of District Police Office Kanchanpur. He said that further investigation is being done on the incident.
