The grand festival of the 2026 FIFA World Cup was recently concluded in North America.

Spain defeated Argentina in extra time to lift the world champion title for the second time. However, aside from the technical analysis on the field and the trophy presentation, millions of football fans around the world voted for their favorite players to select a special team.

Today, we will discuss the FIFA World Cup 2026 Dream Eleven, which represents the players most loved by football fans worldwide.

The Dream Eleven, or 'Best Eleven', is a platform operated by FIFA where fans select the best 11 players of each stage based on their performances. This is different from technical awards like the Golden Ball, Golden Boot, or Golden Glove, as it is not based solely on statistics but also recognizes players who have won the hearts of fans.

This time, fans have chosen an attacking 4-3-3 formation. It includes one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders, and three forwards. Which superstars made it into this 'Dream Team'?

Let's start with the goalpost. The biggest talking point this time is Cape Verde's 40-year-old goalkeeper Bozhinha. Fans chose him over Golden Glove winner Unai Simón. Making his World Cup debut at the age of 40, he stunned the world with seven brilliant saves against Spain and eight against Argentina.

Similarly, Spain's dominance is seen in the defensive line. At right-back is Pedro Porro, who played a crucial role in taking Spain to the final by scoring important goals against Austria and France. At center-back is Argentina's Lisandro Martínez, whom fans have nicknamed 'The Butcher' for his aggressive defensive style and excellent passing.

Alongside him, France's Dayot Upamecano led the defensive line. At left-back is Spain's Marc Cucurella, who had signed with Real Madrid on the very day the World Cup began and won everyone's hearts on the field with his skill and crosses.

The engine of the midfield features three players with different styles. In defensive midfield is Rodri, who is also the Golden Ball winner of this World Cup. He proved to be the backbone of Spain's control and balance. Alongside him is France's Michael Olise, who broke Pele's 56-year-old record by providing 7 assists in a single World Cup, setting a new milestone.

Completing the midfield is England's Jude Bellingham, who, despite being a midfielder, scored 7 goals and set a new record for England. In the attacking line, on the right is Kylian Mbappé, who scored 10 goals to win the Golden Boot and, with 22 goals, became the highest scorer in World Cup history.

In the center is Norway's goal machine Erling Haaland, who, in his first World Cup, scored 7 goals and took Norway to a historic quarterfinal. And on the left is football magician Lionel Messi. Even at the age of 39, Messi scored 8 goals and provided 4 assists, leading Argentina to the final.

Looking at the statistics of this Dream Eleven, there are three players each from Spain and France. Argentina has two players, while England, Norway, and Cape Verde each have one representative. Most interestingly, 19-year-old defender Pau Cubarsí, who won the Best Young Player award, and experienced defender Aymeric Laporte could not make it into the fans' selection.

This team appears to be extremely balanced strategically. Bozhinha's experience, Cucurella and Porro's pace, Rodri's control, and Olise's creativity have made this team lethal. Furthermore, when Haaland's physical strength and Mbappé's finishing are combined with Messi's experience, this team feels formidable.

In the end, individual awards certainly reflect a player's ability, but this fans' Dream Eleven captures the real story of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the players who defined it.
