Jürgen Klopp was appointed as the coach of Germany’s national team on Friday. Klopp, the former Liverpool coach, will be responsible for reviving German football as a powerhouse. He has signed a contract with the German Football Association until 2030. This means he will remain with the German team at least until that year’s World Cup.
Since receiving his new responsibility, he said he regards it as a great honor. He said, “I want to make the German team special, and after watching the German team’s matches, everyone will be satisfied.”
Previous coach Julian Nagelsmann resigned after Germany’s poor performance in the 2026 World Cup. Germany had failed to reach even the last 16 of the tournament. Klopp left Liverpool in 2024, saying he was exhausted.
