Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) won the European Champions League for the second consecutive season on Sunday. As defending champions, PSG beat Arsenal 4-3 on penalties to defend their title.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw after extra time. Ibero-Agile and Gabriel missed the penalty shootout for Arsenal. The English champions extended the game to 120 minutes but were lucky to score.

This is the second time Arsenal, who have never won the Champions League, have lost in the final. Arsenal lost to Barcelona in the 2006 final.

PSG became the first team in the history of the competition to win the title for two consecutive years after Real Madrid. PSG's Luis Enrique has won European club football's biggest competition for the third time as coach.

Arsenal took the lead in regulation time through Kai Havertz before Ousmane Dembele equalized for PSG from the penalty spot.
