Belbari Football Club of Morang has entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 18th Shahid Bhim Narayan Gold Cup football tournament on Wednesday.

Belbari secured a place in the last four by defeating Satdobato Youth Club of Lalitpur by a 1-0 goal margin in the quarter-final match held at Tallo Tundikhel in Dhankuta headquarters.

Satdobato had put pressure on Belbari from the start of the match. Although Satdobato players shot more than a dozen times at Belbari's post, goalkeeper Ajay Pariyar saved the team from danger with an excellent save.

In the final moments of the match, when most of Satdobato's players were focused on attacking towards Belbari's post, Baba Tundi made good use of the pass from the middle and scored an attractive goal. The decisive goal scorer of the match, Baba Tundi, was declared the 'Man of the Match'.

The first semi-final match under the competition will be held on Thursday between the host Shahid Bhim Narayan Smriti Pratishthan, Dhankuta, and Sahales Football Club, Siraha, according to the organizers.
