Defending champions Krishi Bikas Bank and Janak Shiksha Samayal Kendra have reached the futsal quarterfinals of the 15th Employees' Sports Tournament on Friday.

Nepal Air Service Corporation 'A', Nepal Electricity Authority 'A' and 'B', Kathmandu Valley Drinking Water Limited, Nepal Civil Aviation Authority 'A' and Nepal Bank Limited also managed to secure the quarterfinals in the match organized by Employees' Sports Foundation Nepal (ISHAN) at Visiona Recreation in Kuleshwor.

13 teams are participating in the men's and 7 in the women's categories. The semi-finals for both men and women will be held on Saturday. The final will be held on Sunday. The top three teams in the men's category will receive cash prizes of Rs 55,000, Rs 33,000 and Rs 22,000 respectively. The winner in the women's category will receive Rs 35,000 and the runner-up will receive Rs 25,000, according to Ram Binay Shrestha, chairman of the organizer Ishan. Agriculture is also the previous winner in the women's category.

Futsal is the last competition under the Employees' Sports Tournament. The competition, which includes 4 different sports, has been completed in badminton, table tennis and chess.

In badminton, Krishi Bikas Bank won 2 gold medals and Electricity, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Ncell and NTC won 1 gold medal each. In table tennis, Everest Bank Limited and Nepal Airlines Corporation won 2 gold medals each and Civil Aviation Corporation won 1 gold medal. In chess, Dipendra Thakur of the Corporation won the gold medal.
