The Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Women's Volleyball Championship organized by the Nepal Volleyball Association is scheduled to be held in the second week of Jestha. The tournament will be held from 8 to 15 at the covered hall of Dashrath Stadium. A total of 8 countries will participate in it.
Along with Nepal, the participating countries include Iran, Kyrgyzstan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives and Kazakhstan. Since the tournament is an official event of the International Volleyball Federation, its impact will also have an impact on the world rankings.
At a press conference organized on Sunday regarding the tournament, the association's president Jitendra Bahadur Chand said that all preparations have been completed. He also claimed that Nepal can expect good results in the tournament. The tournament trophy was also made public on the occasion of the press conference.
The total budget of the tournament will be Rs 25 million. Training of a team consisting of 16 players is currently underway in preparation for the tournament.
