The UAE secured a crucial 54-run victory over Oman in the Cricket World Cup League 2 on Sunday with the top four batsmen scoring half-centuries. Despite the win, the UAE remains at the bottom. The UAE has 14 points from 24 matches. Nepal, which has scored 2 more points than the UAE, is in seventh place.

The top four teams in the eight-nation League 2 will qualify directly for the World Cup qualifiers.
