Kalika Mavi has won double titles in the open school-level five-a-side men's and women's hockey competitions. Kalika students emerged victorious in both.

Gundu English School came second and Janata Mavi came third in both the male and female categories of the competition organized by the Bhaktapur District Hockey Association at Midvalley College. The top three finishers in both categories received prizes of Rs 10,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 2,500 respectively. Mohan BK of Kalika was the best player, Roman Rana was the best goalkeeper, Amit Kumar Mahato of Janata was the best defender and Mohan Pun and Vivek BK of Kalika (both 14 goals) were the highest scorers.

In the girls' category, Rojina Rana of Kalika was the best player, Priya Kumari Raya of Janata was the best goalkeeper, Raisa Khatun of Kalika was the best defender and Preeti Das of Janata (12 goals) were the highest scorers. The winners were awarded by Subarna Shrestha, a member of the executive committee of the National Sports Council.
