On the third day of the first SWU Open Volleyball Tournament held in Jumla, Tatopani Rural Municipality and Hamro Patarasi team have entered the finals.
Tatopani Rural Municipality defeated Karnali Mavi Anamnagar and Hamro Patarasi team to enter the finals. According to SWU President Lokendra Budha, Tatopani won three sets, while Karnali Mavi Anamnagar had to settle for one set and lose.
Patarasi and Bhaire Naya Karnali teams also competed on Friday. Although both teams won two sets each, Hamro Patarasi won the last set. The third match was between Hamro Patarasi and Karnali Technical School. Hamro Patarasi won three straight sets to enter the finals.
Organizer SWU Jumla has stated that the final match will be held on Saturday at 1 pm. Before the final match, there will be a friendly match between Jumla Multiple Campus and old volleyball players. Various cultural programs will be presented at the award ceremony. 9 teams have participated in the competition.
The first place winner in the competition will receive a prize of 1 lakh 1 thousand 101 rupees and the second place winner will receive a prize of 51 thousand 101 rupees.
The volleyball competition has been organized to preserve the game of volleyball, which has been disappearing in recent times, and to showcase the talents of the players.
