Twelve Football Training Center, run by former Nepal National Football Team captain Biraj Maharjan and goalkeeper Bikesh Kuthu, is organizing a summer football camp.
The camp will run from Saturday, Chaitra 28, to Baisakh 5, 2083 BS. The camp will be held at the NSF Sports Complex in Satdobato from 7 am to 9 am.
The training center has stated that the camp is being organized targeting the long vacation of students after the final exams of schools. Maharjan said that during the vacation, students spend a long time looking at electronic devices like phones, laptops, and TVs, and since this has a long-term impact on their physical and mental health, the main plan of this camp is to keep students away from gadgets for some time.
The camp also plans to attract students to Nepal's popular game of football from an early age. The camp is believed to help students improve their football skills as it will be trained by Asian Football Confederation (AFC) certified coaches. Two promising trainees from among the participants in the camp will receive a scholarship for 1 year at the Twelve Football Training Center. This training center, which was launched 6 months ago, has been providing the necessary training facilities to players from the grassroots level. It has been conducting regular training every Saturday.
